Siskiyou Antlerless Elk hunt

Hello Everyone,
I applied for the Siskiyou antlerless hunt this year and surprisingly won with only 1 point, I've been wanting to get an elk for the meat for a while and decided to apply. It looks like a lot of land is privately owned. I will most likely be doing public land hunting, but if anyone knows any good private hunting areas that I can reach out to the owner/outfitter please let me know. The reason why I'm posting this is to get any tips on areas to hunt and scout on public land I would very much appreciate any information you can share me. Thank you.

My dad is second alternate for this hunt. There are elk around Goosenest, Grass Lake, and on the private ranch grounds up there. I've heard there are good ranchers up there for allowing access. Good luck!

Grew up hunting in that area for deer. Havent been up there in a few years but will be headed up for C rifle possibly.

Nice! Lots of elk up there? Is there a lot of c zone property up there?

Ive seen them multiple times being up there, put it that way. I wasn't looking for them though, that changes things!

Well, my dad got this tag as 2nd alternate. He's excited to say the least, since he would never have been able to draw a bull tag. So I'll prob see you guys up there!
