Any recommendations for outfitters for Sitka Blacktail hunts? Thank you.

Why not a DIY hunt? Kodiak rentals will rent you all you need and have it down and waiting at Trident Basin for you. Fly into town, go to Macks and get your licenses, go to Safeway for food and then down to the float plane basin and fly out.
What time of year are you coming up?

Id definitely do a DIY hunt on kodiak. you can do it much cheaper than guided. LOTS of deer on kodiak if you fly in and and off the road system. quite reasonable too. we went a couple years ago and killed 2 deer and 2 caribou for about $3,000 each

There?s lots of great outfitters, some small one client at a time deal, which ends up more like hunting with a hunting buddy that a hunting from a hunt camp. Some bigger places and run several groups out each morning. A DIY trips is very doable. An guided hunt isn't that much more money but eliminates a lot of stress and logistical work. It's a trade off. Some die hard diy guys look down on a guided hunt and that's fine. Everyone enjoys doing things different.
