Colt announced it will no longer make the AR-15. I'm sure this is due to an internal reason and not because of mass shootings. The gun haters don't know this but see it as progress and Colt's credibility went up with them. Remington, I feel did the same thing with their AR rifles by camouflaging them. The camo makes them hunting rifles and less scary. I see a trend. Colt can start making them again when it makes fiscal scene. By then, the buzz and all the hate that's praiseworthy now, will have died down. Do you guys think this is smart? All of the gun haters don't know anything about guns, just what they see or hear on TV and if they see or hear about a company canceling in today?s cancel culture that's a win right?

LAST EDITED ON Sep-19-19 AT 05:41PM (MST)[p]The AR market is flooded with companies now. Colt has always catered to the law enforcement and military for a huge chunk of their sales. Given what's going on around the globe Colts probably just concentrating their business where it makes the most sense to them right now. If anybody thinks a camo job is going to avoid the anti-gun faction they're only kidding themselves.

The anti's are just as zealous about getting pink or green rifles or pistols as they are the rest of them in their movement to remove them from our homes. It's political poison and that's exactly why some of the dems are speaking out against Beto to make it look like they're being more reasonable.

Manchin is in a state with a huge percentage of hunters so he knows exactly what he's doing and for the record he's a decent guy. The left has pushed so many buttons they know damn well Trumps probably going to annihilate them and gun owners represent a large share of the voters. The left will always portray any gun company as being fearful of their agenda even though that may not even be a consideration for the change. Given the multiple weapon types shifting over to military type architecture in their platforms. Many bolt actions are adopting variable lop and pistol grips and adaptable barrel shrouds that have actually improved shooter function and comfort.

Besides Colt can always jump back into the market with their reputation for building Ar's at any point in the future when they decide to get back into the consumer market. It's not like they have to redesign the weapon to get back into the market. It's a no brainer for them and there are minimal production costs associated with making the change.

Colt didn't announce they were stopping maunufacturing the AR 15....they announced they were only going to sell them to the enemy......

Let that sink in. Yep!

Keep the faith boys.......Our police and military are far from being a junta at this point but give the dems this election and we'll see more changes along these lines. Who knows they may even make Smallwell the police and military Weapons Czar entrusted with disarming the public to facilitate the "Transformation of America".
