So Utah Rifle Hunt

So I hunted the rifle hunt for southern Utah, we seen any easy 400 head of deer. The buck to doe ratio seemed to be about 15 does to one buck. Most of the bucks we seen were not "big" they were a few spikes and mostly forkies with a few three points. We hunted Pinto, New Castle area. Nothing in this area really got my blood pumping. There are a lot hunters and a lot of stupid ignorant hunters (mostly California hunters). Out of the 12 tags we had in camp 6 were filled and the rest were people like me hunting for something decent.

We were in the south east area of the state and I was surprised at the lack of hunters. There were alot of people in the mountains but hardly anyone in the lower canyons. But that was probably due to the fact that they would have had to get off of their (%#$) and four wheelers or trucks and walk a little bit. We saw some very nice bucks and one that was a toad. It just did'nt work out but we had a great time. You folks do have some beautiful country down there. Thanks for the opportunity for non-residents to have a great time and hunt !!!!!!
