Spotters

Hey all. Since I am jumping into the high end binos, money is a bit tight. I can't swing $1500 for the Zeiss, Swaro, or Leica spotters, but probably can swing $800 or so for a Leupold Gold Ring or Pentax. Currently, I own the Wind River spotter and I can't stand it! I saw a few posts on the Leupold Gold Ring and most folks that have it, love it, but how about the Pentax? Both seem to retail for approx the same price. The Pentax is heavier, but I wonder about the quality. I have heard good things about Pentax's binos, but not a lot about their spotters. I looked through both and it seems like the Pentax is slightly clearer and brighter. It may be just my eyes as well.

Thanks for any help.

Nothing compares w/ the top three, German glass. Save a few hundred bucks more and get the best, or you'll end up getting it later anyway. That costs more in the end. Don't let anyone tell you can't see the difference either. You can and will. I just bought Zess 85 and am VERY happy. Just my opinion. M.
