Got drawn again! Sherman this time. Lucky. I had success on 49 last year and figured id offer guidance if needed on 49 North to spread some wealth. PM me if needed.

Congratulations on drawing. Maybe I will get serious this year about shooting a bear with my longbow. A friend and I keep track of all the bears we see each season, kind of like a competition. Last year I saw 8 different bears throughout the season. One of them was a good looking bear that walked across the field right in front of us at an outdoor flea market!

I would give every future bear hunt away to get a good deer tag this year.
Also, i would hope you will have a .300 over your shoulder (or buddys shoulder) if you get a bad hit at 30 yrds or under with that long bow.
A buddy and I spotted a bear and made a play to close the 800 yds it was away. We got to within 70 yrds or so (thought it wpuld be 200) and had a tough time getting it down. I suppose it can be done, but.....
