I'm going to take Steaks to a family get together. I like hearing of others methods or seasonings. For Cajun flavor I have used Tony Chacheres and Mesquite chips in a BBQ.
My wife only wants Lowrys and well done. Very open to hear what others use . This will be on a Gas Grill as that is not my home.

This is a staple in my area for BBQs.

I mix my own, and keep in a separate jar, for a single spice for every type of meat I cook. The wife is allergic to onions, but I have found that she can tolerate a little bit of onion powder in this mix.

I've had Santa Maria Tri- Tip cooked with Oak. It was awesome.

I agree with the above. A quality steak gets sea salt only at my house and perhaps a pat of butter to finish. Cooked medium rare to medium at the most.

I prefer to cook over hard wood coals or more than likely for convenience lump charchol in oak or mesquite. No liquid fuel used to light it.

My favorite by far.....
