Teflon coating

I went with a buddy of mine to Spanish Fork last week to get his .50 BMG teflon coated. I had heard of the process prior to this, but never knew anybody near enough, or inexpensive enough to do it.
Well, let me tell you, the guy that does this is for real. He has had contracts with large firearm manufacturers as well as doing it for the regular Joe. His work is beautiful and and he has been doing it for 15 years. His website is www.blackicecoatings.com
I don't often advertise anything, but the guy met us in his garage (converted to a mini shop) and was as decent and friendly a guy you could ever ask to meet. Showed us the process and talked shop for a bit. I am now saving my pesos to go get my .300 RUM done. It's worth a look to check his site.

Studpile,

Your right about teflon coating. I had a little .308
built a couple of years ago around a Remington shor action.
Had all of the metal work Teflon coated, even the scope rings.
The only exposed steel on the gun is the bore. If the exterior
of the rifle gets dirty I blow it off with an air hose.
It's the way to go.

I examined this rifle of my friends today. Totally awesome job on the camo. He has had it back for sometime, I just haven't seen it in person yet. I'll try to get some pics.
