Here's an article that shows the wisdom of our founders in preventing one branch from abusing it's powers in our system. It's a good read and shows why the founders planned for the flaws in human nature to not go unchecked in our process. In effect one branch or party can't override the system to exert undo process in our government. The system is also dependent on the rules of law to protect the process further, while protecting our fundamental rights and due process. The dems recent partisan action fell into this example perfectly and the system worked as designed, with the acquittal of the president the end result.

You can bet the liberal Dems will look to making changes so that they can get on with their socialist agenda for the U.S. What will stop then is to re-elect Trump and give him a majority in both houses of Congress. Then it will be up to the GOP to make good on their promises to the people in order to keep the liberal socialist members in check for many more years.
