I currently have a Nikon with the BDC reticle, I'm looking into a Leupold VX-3 and will be getting the "fine" duplex reticle and then sending it in for the CDS system. The 3.5-10x40 with CDS is available at the local store for about $90 less than the 3.5-10x50 without the CDS. Am I getting more bang for my buck if I go with the 40mm with CDS instead of the 50mm without it? I'm not one who will notice a trememndous difference in the "light gathering" ability of a 50mm over the 40mm. Just asking for your thoughts. Thanks for your time,
