Tripod

I'm looking for a good tripod to use with my spotting scope. I'd like something that I can use either standing or sitting with a good head. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Hard to beat Outdoorsmans for quality, both tripod and pan head. Another cheaper but very good option is a Slik 634CF tripod with a Sirui VA5 head.

I have a Slik with the quick release head. Love it. I use the tripod for scope, binos (15X), occasionally the rifle, my chrono, and even my 200-600mm camera lens. Each has the quick release mount.

Only thing I wish my slick would do is be smaller there's been some fellows who have cut some legs out of it to make it lighter I would love to have that done with mine

I went budget (vs the outdoorsman) and went with the Sirui. It's been a great tripod.

Sirui St-124 with the Va5 is an awesome combo.
