I came across a 1919 Sears and Robuck Catalog at a yard sale and bought it. So here is the first Question.

How much was a Model 94 Winchester Lever Action 30-30 back then?

Second Question

How much was box of 30-30 shells-20 to a box?

Dang, after I made this post and thought about it, I figured either you or D13 would make this remark. That's OK your time is coming soon. LOL

Just got home from the first night of Registration for our 4 day car show, guess the crowd of cars this year is going to be about 660 cars of all kinds, makes etc. Big Chili Cook off tomorrow night.

Here's the answer: In 1919 a Model 94 Winchester cost $31.55 and a box of shells was $1.17. A MONTH's wages for the gun and a Day's wages for the shells.

Next Question-- how much was a Browning Auto 5 shotgun and a box of 12 guage shotgun shells-25 to a box size No. 6 leadshot?
