pretty jacked I drew trout creek this year. been to Whitehorse couple times hunting antelope but never been to trout creeks. should be fun, hopefully a fire don't rip through there this year. get done with Oregon mule deer then head for 95 wyo antelope. busy October. probably only cost me $1500 in fuel lol WTF.

Good luck in Trout Creek area. I have wanted to hunt it and was saving points to do so in the future, but drew the Mt. Emily rut hunt in the random draw.

Like all units in OR it's not a shadow of what it used to be. that said it's one of the better units in OR , mainly because deer can come in from NV.

You won't have a lot of hunters and the genetics are there for nice bucks. the last time I hunted it was about 20 years ago and I took a nice buck with symmetrical 9" droppers on both sides.

Hunt high and glass a lot. the deer love the aspens for cover.
