I was wondering if anyone could offer any tips or guidance on hunting mule deer in unit 17. I have always been very into fishing, growing up in New England, but I am a new hunter as of the last couple years when I met my now husband in Colorado. I have taken 2 small bucks with a rifle and am still working hard at my first archery harvest with elk in Colorado. This will be my first time hunting in New Mexico and I was lucky to draw a November Rifle tag. I would be grateful if you can offer any tips, I am willing to put on the miles to find a decent deer, But unfortunately will not be able to get down to scout before season.
