Unit 18 - 2nd Season

I’m coming to the group seeking any guidance for Unit 18 deer, 2nd season rifle this year. I’ve spent some time putting in my own miles but welcome any info from those willing to share. Physically, I’ll have no issues and I’m willing to spend the whole hunt for a mature deer, regardless of score.

Unit 18 is pounded by otc elk hunters and lots of deer tag holders. Get off the road, walk more than a mile, and shoot the first “decent” buck you see. Willing to hold out and go home empty-handed? There are 170+ deer in the unit, don’t count on seeing them tho, even with a lot of effort.
