Unit 22- 3rd season Deer, ELK ?

We drew 3rd season deer tags. new to the unit. Had friends hunt it 3 years ago. Is it worth buying an elk tag in the unit?
Any one want to share some info on the deer #'s and elk #'s.
Places to start scouting? Places to stay away from.

We have hunted 22 a few times 3rd season and seen very few Elk. I personally would not waste the $$ for an Elk tag. But with that being said you will probably see a ton of Elk and be cursing me for giving you bad info, but that's just been my experience.

Hunted 2nd season 3 years ago. Alot of small bucks, saw very few elk. There were roads every where. 8 of us were hunting, 4 small 4 points, 3 small 3 points, and two cows. Get away from the roads.

Hopefully with the late season and a bit of luck with a storm from Mother nature, a few big bucks will show for us. I think this is the first year in a long time we didn't draw an elk tag. Any one hunt cows in the late season?
