I drew a unit 23 cow tag for the late november rifle hunt and folks that hear me say that say it will be an easy hunt. Is that true? The stats say otherwise!
I live in Safford, AZ and can be to the unit in about an hour. I spent a couple days camping in the north end of the unit (Pueblo Park) a couple weeks ago checking out the terrain and roads. I would like to check out the area north of Mule Creek next scouting trip because it is closer to home.
My problem is I drew a whitetail tag around Safford for the same time! I am going to do both hunts but I was hoping to get the cow tag filled as quick as possible so I could chase a buck.
Any thoughts on an "easy" cow (yes I have elk hunted before and am familiar with how it can go)?
