My boys and I drew late unit 31 rifle coues tags this year. We've never hunting the area nor the species before and would love any advice you're willing to share.
This is what I have so far:
* Find a good vantage point and glass all day focusing on areas with north and maybe east facing slopes, find areas that have some water available
* Get away from roads
There is a concurrent archery season. I've not experienced this, how much does it change the dynamic of the hunt?
I understand that Stockton Pass will have good deer densities but lots of pressure. How are the Pinelo mountains? How about the north and west foothills of Mt Graham? How high are the deer likely to be hanging out?
Thanks for any help, hope you're all having a good hunting season.
