We are headed out to begin scouting tomorrow AM. However it may be worthless - tomorrow night Ruidoso is expected to get 6-12 inches of snow.
Any thoughts on how much this might change locations? will they immediately start moving out or will they hold up for a couple days (it hits the mid 40's after the snow) and stay in the same area?

I've got 3 boys with tags but the weather has me worried it could be soup

Elk won't move, they don't really migrate in south. They just go to using more south slopes. Cows will come off top of mountain the the lower parts. Where you find them tomorrow they will
Still be in same general area. Snow will help the hunting other than the driving/ walking around. If you glass and your kids can walk some you should have no problem finding a cow.
