unit 421 mule deer

I hunted this unit in '05 on the grand mesa southeast of colbran. It was a great hunt saw a lot of deer. Im wondering what experiences others have had as well as what anyone thinks about the unit as far as overall quality in colorado. Thx.

Lots of deer near Colbran still. There was a buck killed with a bow last year that I guess was about 210-220 non-typical, and several other nice bucks that I heard of as well. Lots of people and ATV's, but there is tons of public land on the Grand Mesa Nat'l Forest plus some BLM. I am debating applying for 3rd rifle season next year in 421.
 
I hunted 421 4th season in 2006. Saw lots of deer, but didn't see anything huge. Saw a couple of 180" bucks at the taxidermist's in Colbran. We ended up with 24" & 25.5" bucks.
