Unit 44-45 Youth hunt

I usually hunt 49 ,50,51,52. I saw the new youth hunt for these two units and my son drew a tag. One problem the forest service has every road closed in and out south of 518 to Las Vegas. So I have to drag my son ( 13 ) up and down every canyon.Commales Trail, Osha Trail, Serpent lake, Angustora Trail, Los alamitos Canyon and we wind up 2 hours away from the truck. We have put in our time scouting and if you are lucky to see something you would think twice before shooting due to the 3 hour hike out. I was wondering if anyone in the area new were I could take my son( besides shooting off the road ) in the units. I don't mind walking we love to hike it is just us two and I dont want to get that far away from the truck.
