unit 50 help Elk

Have a couple of secound season tags for my son and his friend Iam just a driver and a brush beater. I have read quite a bit about this unit being a wintering area also about some of the elk moving in from other units. Was woundering if some of you guys could add some more info to the story. Mostley about quality of bulls that can be found in the unit, if your willing to put in the effort.I have read a lot about pot mtn area good and bad.Any thoughts or idea would be welcome.

My hunting partner shot an old, gristly 6x6 last year on the rifle hunt, was about a 275. Not huge, but I would call it average for that early in the year. Success rates are low, that's a hard hunt.
Check your PM for more specifics. Good luck and watch out for crazy locals eating chicken wings at 4 AM in full camo. If I can figure out how to post a picture I'll put one up of that bull.
