Unit 501

I hunted it twice, once last season and once 8 years ago. Hiking and biking traffic is WAY up from 8 yrs ago. Scored a 300 bull muzzleloader season 1st time, never saw an elk last year. Conditions were hot and dry, and there was a fire in the wilderness portion of the unit, with trail closures and helicopter activity. The south half of the unit has a lot of burn scars from the Hayman fire. I live right next to the unit. It is a large unit, and takes some points to draw.
