Unit 60 mule deer

Hey guys I’m thinking about applying for unit 60 2nd season. What’s the herd like in the unit?

Have you ever been in the unit?
It is pretty small unit.
It does hold some deer but I haven’t been in there for a few years
That being said I’ve only been on the north end.

What caliber bucks are in the area, I’m not looking for giants but will put the time in and won’t shoot a dink just to fill a tag

If you go up John Brown it’s higher elevation but it’s a pretty tight area without getting into Utah
I Might have to make a weekend trip up there this spring.

Actually 42% got a tag with 0 points. 38% with 1 point in 3rd season. The fact that it only takes 1 point to get third season should tell you something about quality of bucks

If I had one point, I would shoot for third season and pray for snow. But assuming you’re a nonresident, remember, they reduced us from 35% of the tags to 25% this year. So it will be harder to draw either one of those tags.
