LAST EDITED ON Sep-04-18 AT 08:11AM (MST)[p]I am heading to unit 63 for the muzzleloader deer hunt later this week, I have never been to the zone but I have done quite a bit of internet scouting and am planning on getting there a day and a half early to get the lay of the land. I was just wanting to see if anybody had any advice they wanted to pass on. The obvious plan of attack would be to stay high, but I have heard the higher elevations get pounded by OTC elk hunters and that there are a lot of deer in the oak brush all year. I am glad to hike as far as I need and also don't mind backpacking in somehwere if that helps separate me from everyone else. Any advice would be great, but if you don't want to share that is fine too, I know good spots usually take a lot of hard work to find.
