Unit 65 Outfitter Recommendations

Being that we are a non-resident and a great distance away iam aware that this unit is mostly private so hiring a outfitter is our best option of having a successful hunt...Any Outfitter recommendations in unit 65 would be greatly appreciated.

Private land precludes, for the most part outfitters.

Better off asking regional office for a list of landowners that complain about crop damage and or fences.

I don't know the outfitters for that area but I'm sure there are some that might have access to private ground or at least know some people in the area that could help.
A google search for southeast Idaho moose outfitters might bring some results. Idaho fish and game website should have at least a link to outfitters for the area too.

I think you would have good luck learning all you can about the unit through maps and google earth. Through the Idaho fish and game map feature they have you can see all private and public land. Driving around asking for permission for access could produce good results. Wildlife biologists and game wardens would also be good people to talk to for land owner information.

Hamilton Outfitters and Robson Outfitters are the outfitters that pop up when searching the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association website for the Palisades area. That said, I'm not sure if they guide 65 for moose, but you might call and find out.

Congrats to your daughter! My wife drew that tag when she was 71/2 months prego with my daughter. Great hunt. Look at Packsaddle Rd. Lots of moose in there. Wow!! Those are great bulls!! Congratulations!! My daughter is getting anxious....She want so go now but we are going to try and wait for the rut to kick in.... will be posting update soon????
