Unit 76 Aug 2 pics

No rain now for 5 days. Hard to beleive during the
monsoons. Record breaking heat in Colo and above 12000
ft warm. Maybe 65 high and 36 low. Elk staying very high
late in the am. Some laying in the snow till noon.
Still lots of snow. Up basin 3 I think 60-100 ft
deep for 1 drift. Maybe melting 3-5 ft a week.Roy

One question I have always wondered: Do the elk get used to you and your dog or do you have to be just as stealthy as if you were hunting and shoot from a long way off?

with you instead of in this tropical paradise with my bad
eye.
