Update on the fire

Yesterday (Saturday) the Forest Service declared the east side of the fire contained, so Rich's ranch is safe. The neighbor called and said that they have put out about 350-400 bales of hay so far, and have put out 12 200-gallon stock tanks. They said that the elk and deer are about to over-run the place.

No word from Rich and Burt this week, but the support crew expects to meet up with them mid-week sometime.

Hey Heather if you get out to the ranch maybe you can get some picture of it and all the elk and deer that have moved on to it since the fire started, I'm wondering how many calves you would see in the herd? if they was able to keep out of harms way
