Updated Exotics Proposals

G&F updated their Exotics proposals after public feedback. Highlights:

Barbary
- Dropped idea of lumping all Barbary Units together, will remain separate
- Staying with proposal to move Barbary from 5 hunts to 8 hunts, shorter seasons
- Bulk of McGregor tag increase will now be 2 day F-IM hunts. 2 ES 5 day hunts with 10 tags each hunt. No definition provided of what F-IM means.

Oryx
- Based on public feedback, the Department and White Sands Missile Range recommend changing the designation of the “Iraq/Afghanistan veteran” hunts to allow “any veteran” to be eligible.

As far as I can tell, everything else is the same as the original proposals.

“Female or immature Barbary sheep” or “F-IM” shall mean any female Barbary sheep, or a male Barbary sheep with horns less than 18 inches long.

Final Exotics rule was adopted today at the commission meeting. The only changes made to the proposal link below was that the commission rejected switching the OIL Oryx MIP hunt to people over 70. They kept that as MIP and put 40 tags for the 70+ people to offrange.
