Hi everyone! Long time follower of this forum, haven't contributed yet as I am a relatively new hunter with no success as of yet. Somehow, I got insanely lucky and drew the only nonresident spring Black Bear tag in the Beaver unit, Utah. I normally understand it is inappropriate to ask for tips on a unit, but figured since this was a limited entry tag might be okay to ask. If anyone has tips on elevation ranges I should be looking at or any helpful tips at all, I would greatly appreciate it. I am currently planning on hunting May 10-20th. Thanks in advance!

you don't need dogs for a spring bear hunt. one of the funnest hunts there is if you ask me. cruise the roads, hike to find green hill sides to glass up and stay out till dark. you picked good dates.

Please let us know how your hunt goes! I used to hunt deer in Beaver and I've seen a couple of bears while hiking, but that was obviously in the fall
