Utah summer bear success

My wife took this beautiful mature sow yesterday. We had a great time as a family spending time on the mountain baiting and checking trail cameras the past month. We got to look over a good amount of bears and my wife liked the looks of this pretty sow. If there is one thing I've learned is that I'm terrible at sizing a bear. Pictures can be so deceiving.

On a side note, we will be traveling through the Salt Lake area tomorrow. Any recommendations on a good taxidermist that will rug this bear? Our local guy isn't taking anything else it sounds like.

Congrats to your wife.

They really are hard to judge from trail cam pictures, Its almost like you have to take the picture that makes it look the smallest and use that one lol.

If you are willing to come to the Vernal area my taxidermist does an awesome job on bears. Dream Keeper Taxidermy in Lapoint, it's between Roosevelt and Vernal.
