I was DIY first archery in the VV last fall but did spend some time chatting with the guys from Bobcat Pass Outfitters one afternoon while they were out scouting while their client took a rest.
Not only were they pleasant and professional but they were quite forthcoming with suggestions and information. They certainly seemed to know the unit well and the rhythms of the elk.
I appreciated that they took the time to chat with me and makes some good suggestions even though there was no dollar in it for them.

I used Bobcat Pass Adventures as my guide in a hunt that I did about 5 years ago in the Vidal (muzzleloader hunt).The are located at the top of Bobcat Pass between Eagle Nest & Red River. They know the Vidal & have guided there for several years. Call Henry or Vance. Very honest people
