I have an older Wby Vanguard in 300 Wby Mag plastic stock. The other day at the OGCA show I bought a very nice wood stock. Weatherby on the buttpad, green plastic inserts inside, no spacers or tip on fore end no cap on pistol grip. Happy Day! I get it home and the action screw spacing is 1/2" longer than my series one long action. What's up with that? Anyone?
