When I began shooting Competition Bench Rest tournaments my first attempt was in Phoenix, AZ at the Cactus Classic in 1994. Walt was running the Ben Avery B. R. tournaments at the time and they always drew a huge crowd. Walt shared generously with his time giving me tips, suggestions and reloading techniques and, always, encouragement. Walt was first and always a gentleman competitor willing to share information from his wealth of knowledge in bullet making, reloading and hunting.
RIP Walt...you will always be remembered as giant in the shooting fraternity.
