Wasatch elk

Any pics or how the rut is going on the Wasatch elk, good luck to everyone.

I was there scouting on the opener of the rifle hunt. Bulls were very quiet then. I'd bet they are fired up now though.

Going pretty hot the 12-16th, bulls pushing cows and non stop action. We killed one Saturday night and Sunday as well.

Greetings MM faithful, I want to hunt elk soon in Utah. I have quite a few points but will probably never catch up to hunt San Juan or Boulder, thinking I could pull a Wasatch quality hunt next year. Is it worth it ?? I've been blessed with a few good bulls over the past few years so massive inches is not top on my priority list. Having a good chance at a 330-340 class bull with rutting in action...would be Golden. Thanks guys

After being on the Wasatch all fall this year, It think you can achieve what you are looking for on the Wasatch. We were into screaming bulls every day during the rifle hunt.

The Wasatch is still a very healthy unit for good mature bulls.

What worries me is the lack of cows which equals a low number of bull recruitment for coming years.

Finding a spike bull has turned into a tougher task than finding a 360+ bull.
