WASATCH LE BULL ELK 2024!

Wife will have a tag in her pocket this year for a wasatch bull.

What is your opinion on the date for her hunt?
(Oct. 5-17) same time as spike hunt.

Do you think it's going to be tough will all the spike hunters?

Or

Do you think it will make it better with the hunters moving the elk around?

Also if you have any tips or want to share any areas you are seeing some nice bulls send me a PM. I'm sure she would appreciate it!

Hopefully we run into something good this fall and can share some success photos!

Congrats on your wife's tag. Enjoy your hunt.
If you do a search on this website you will unfortunately find that elk no longer exist on this unit. At least none worth killing.

Honestly do a search. there is some info out there. And enjoy the hunt.

It’s not really the spike hunters that you need to worry about, it’s all the extra mid-season LE hunters they added.

Lucky for you it is a GIANT area and there is A LOT of elk. Last year the mid rifle season had better rut activity than the early rifle did in many areas in central/northern Utah.

It should be a really fun hunt. Go and enjoy!

My daughter had that same tag last year. It is a fun hunt. Huge unit so you can find the crowds or find no one around if you choose. If you get to picky on the size of bulls it may take the fun out of your wife’s hunt. My daughter did not set an unrealistic size of bull that she would be happy with and she lived her dream elk hunt with her dad right beside her. The elk were still bugling in the areas we were hunting. Antler growth was off last year and this year should be better. I will not give specific areas to hunt because we actively hunt the Wasatch for elk, deer, moose… when we have tags. Have fun.
