Watch or attend tomorrow's Wildlife Board meeting

The Utah Wildlife Board is meeting tomorrow (Thursday, June 2) at 9 a.m., and there's a mix of items on the agenda.

If you're interested, you can watch the meeting online or attend in person. (It will be held at the Eccles Wildlife Education Center, located at 1157 South Waterfowl Way in Farmington.)

Be curious on the plan for fall turkey. Tough hunt this spring, numbers are down. May want to save some seed on these fall hunts, most birds being killed are hens.

LOL. One only needs to read the comments submitted to know the the only people upset are the Diamond Mtn LOA.

Didn't do much on limiting fall tags in the south.....the only one that seems even remotely in touch with the turkey population was Thurgood. Limiting hunters to one tag is a good thing, but no cap reduction in the southern region from last year is a mistake.

Yes it is, just like any other species in utah get a good population going and then wipe them out!

Southern unit is struggling. This fall hunt has run its course, landowners down here aren't complaining. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if they got rid of the fall hunt in the southern region. I'd rather hunt turkeys than just about anything in this state.

I’m with you there wiffy, my spot has tanked in the southern unit… Any swinging ? with a .22 is slinging lead in the fall…

Yes, they didn't want to cut too many. Not what is best for the resource, but what's best for the bottom line.
