I'm looking for opinions and advice on water filters for multi-day backpacking trips. What have you used? What works and what doesn't?

I just carry a MSR mini in my pack. Just in case I ever run out of water I can fill my bottle with clean safe water. Here is a review. Just one i found to show you how it works.

I've used several over the years but my latest favorite is the Katadyn Hiker Pro.

Dipping right out of the stream in the NWT is really the best!

littlebighorn, that's actually the one I ended up ordering!

LAST EDITED ON Aug-03-19 AT 09:48PM (MST)[p]Katadyn hiker is what I carry in my pack, but if I plan on being close to water I will bring along my katadyn 10L base camp pro. Much easier than pumping every day. Just hang it in a tree in your camp and you will have 5-6+ days worth of good, clean water.
