Well? Is he going to prison for life?

He won’t go to jail for life. The most will be six years probably. The issue will be him leaving and coming back with a gun and it wasn’t a life or death situation until he escalated it. Until then, it was a normal argument. I really don’t care. There are 335,000,000 people in the U.S., one less is not that big of a deal.
 
What is it with peoples attitude anymore? Guns don’t scare people now. I see it in video after video like people chasing an armed kid with an AR, non cooperation while the cops have them at gunpoint, plus this and they think they’re invincible. I learned early what bullets do and if a gun is in play, I’m going to be very careful challenging that situation unless I know I will win. The one good thing about this is the dude went quickly. When I die, I wish it’s that quick.
 
It’s hard to wrap one’s head around idiots bringing guns into situations where there is likely to be an escalation. What is it? Watched one too many vigilante movies? Just finished binge playing Call of Duty? Lost at the casino and figured your luck will turn now? I totally get self-defense- but putting yourself in a position, by choice, where you may be tempted to do so is JUST. PLAIN. STUPID.
 
I was amazed at the lack of caring by anyone there....even the woman videoing that the dead guy was with.....nobody acted like anyone was laying there dying.......they just kept arguing....

Almost made it looked staged to me.....

Ex wife, now with the shooter, is local judge. Affairs on both sides I think to get them with their respective current spouses. Lifetime movie coming soon to a TV near you.

Yes I thought it was odd. I think she didn’t realize how bad the situation was. Later in the recording, screaming can be heard. I think it was her off camera when she realized her husband was gravely injured.
 
One minute you're trash talking...next minute you're dead silent...

One thing I've learned from this video is: Don't grab someone's gun. Especially when they're pissed!

All they can think to do is just keep bitchin" and try to prove their point.

Makes me dizzy thinking about them folks.
 
Sick is right... dude just killed the father of his wife's kids and the most concerned among all in the whole scenario appears to be the chicken or goose or whatever is squaking on the video
 
That seemed surreal. After he shot the guy, no one reacted the way you'd think normal people would. The killer just stood over him like he'd done it a thousand times. The woman filming ( assuming she's the one that was with the dead guy) didn't even skip a beat with her tone and demeanor as the guy was laying face down on the deck. The woman on the right looked to be checking her facebook and deleting the video she'd just taken of her new man killing her ex.
Just weird.
 
In hindsight, the wife could have been armed and got the drop on the guy with the Ruger as soon as he showed up and after he killed her husband. She could have claimed two things, she was afraid he would kill her, and she was protecting her husband and others from more violence. Video evidence would be as convincing as the one used for his defense. She would have to be quick and not allow too much time to lapse between the posturing and shots.

Another similar case from Texas, although this one is a little more redneck or white trashy. These guys got in trouble for killing the guy.

No telling what will happen here. The article doesn't answer some of the important questions of self defense. Investigators will get it all sorted out.

How did hitting the little guy work out for all those dudes in Kenosha?

When ANYBODY has a firearm in their hands and you think you're going to just "hit him" you will not like the outcome. Armed men kill unarmed men with startling efficiency and repetition. All the bull highlight reals you have seen of one punch knockouts is a rare exception. You don't put him down with that first swing and your an organ donor. But doctors aren't going to be fighting to study your brain.

By the way, they all cry in prison when "they get hold of your ass". You ain't prison jerky, just internet hard.
 
The kid calmly left and came back with a gun=premeditated. The shootee was a lot dumber than me.

True. But the dude tried to take his gun. Kind of like Kenosha where they tried and take the kid's gun.

Self defense can be premeditated and premeditation is not exclusive to criminal behavior.

I have cleaned and loaded weapons at my house. I have practiced again and again with these weapons. These weapons are for killing someone in a self defense situation. I pray I never have to use them but if they are ever used premeditated was involved.

I agree.....the moment that 2nd shot went off and pops collapsed, I'd have been over trying everything possible to save the guys life. The shooter had no skin in the game....he was the Moms boyfriend I am assuming.

Bottom line is the kid lost his father regardless of the story that was happening. The world is in a bad place when we grab guns instead of fists flying anymore. We don't have a gun problem we have a mental heath problem in this country and it's getting worse by the day due to our leaders!

Why should he have "clocked" him? That man is on his own property, not part of the kid argument.

Do you really think you should show up at any property you want yelling at people and start punching property owners that tell you to leave???????? Please tell me you aren't this foolish.

It's starting to sound like you are exactly what deadly force defense laws are for.
