Went out to unit 262 this morning

My nephew & I went out this morning just to glass to see what we could see. I was a bit surprised that the elk weren’t going crazy. We glassed up 3 bulls & one spike along with 10 or so cows. The bulls are bugling, but not much of an appearance of full rut just yet.
The deer numbers are looking lower this year. I only managed to glass up 7 does & 2 bucks in an area that I’m accustomed to seeing 20 or more deer in one sitting.
Im not sure if it is from pressure or just an off year. We only glassed the first 2 hours of light, so it was still a great morning.

We hunted it last year, elk numbers are way up and deer are down.
