Hey Todd great offer. Great people here. I know Fred-Beaman & Chuck-R 270) have helped and talk to numerous people on here including myself before. You are in that same class.

Be over in Paonia in 2 weeks for wifes 3rd season deer. Hope all goes well and I don't need help, but good to know there is a few people around!!!

Have hunted 61 for deer and elk 4 times and hope to hunt it 5 more times for elk in the very near future. Good to know you great guys around the area.

I have a tough access spot north of rifle.....mean/steep country. How is the forage/feed/drought situation up that way? I hear its not good.

I cut my teeth in that area, and learned to DIY elk hunt up that way....with exceptional results that were resulted in painful packets...but its not what it once was back in the late 90's! If it would just rain a few consecutive years, I might hike back in there and give it a whirl.

Yes there is a place in canyon creek that is owned by the owner of Waffle House I believe. And I live right above that ranch between silt and new castle.

I don’t think Farrah owned anything around here. You may be thinking of Michelle Pfeiffer. She owned a horse ranch between New Castle and Silt. But she’s not the movie star, just coincidentally has the same name.

I'll be in Paonia in a week for 3rd season elk. Please post up weather reports. I'll take another look at this thread before leaving. I'd be open to trading information if we see any deer.
