So as I’m putting together a new rifle and scope setup, I’m looking at my old pre-64 30/30 my grandpa gave me. I killed my first deer with it. I guess the old school days are long gone in this modern world. The old timers would laugh at us with all this new ****. I have a few of his rifles with 4 power scopes on them.

Yep. I pulled out both of my grandpas 30-30 just last week and checked them out. Haven't been out of the safe in years. Unfortunately the gadgets keep getting more technical and makes it easier on hunters. The hunter just does not have to work as hard and everyone thinks they can make shots that should not be taken while hunting.

Funny there is even any animals left.

Old times and the good old days are gone.

Now we all just adjust and try to keep up to some point.

I think the old lever guns would be just the ticket to turn a doe or cow tag into another level of fun.

I like shooting critters with my model 95 chambered in .405. Lots of firepower in that weapon.
