What should he do???

My dad has 9 NR point for elk. He's gonna be 73. I have some ideas, basically muzzy or late rifle in a couple of good, not great units. Want to stay away from archery for him as he blew several chances at good bulls last year. Just not confident he can connect that way anymore.

I have horses to get him up and down the mountain so I was thinking Wasatch or Manti with either weapon. Any thoughts??

His best chance for a tag is probably the late Manti unit. Remember that the muzzy hunt is also the same time as the deer hunt, so if your dad can't hike alot, he may be better with the late if you can find the bulls. The muzzy hunt is close to the rut, but you will probably see more pressure. I don't know much about either unit, but I know some nice ones come off of both units. Good luck in the draw.
