The floor of the US Senate is rougher than the political forum here was. But at least it's quiet here now.

Cancel culture. Like most media outlets and platforms. Founders site, he can cancel or delete what he wants. Now Gator and Grizzly will not be offended.

I enjoy the conversations and disagreements. When people leave their civility behind however, which is happening more and more, then deleting a post or banning an offender is appropriate in my book, at least on general forums. I did not post on the political forum much but appreciated that it was there to keep it out of the other forums.

I met a lot of people in my 70 plus years on the mountain and never even once did I ask what their political views were and no one ever asked me. This is a hunting forum. I think Founder is trying to keep it that way.

There’s a lot of hate and nastiness around politics. I see it here and I don’t like. I don’t want to police it, so I’m fine with the loss of the political forum. I don’t want it here and will continue to get rid of it. I’m prepared for some members to leave because I’m not doing what they want. So be it.
Everyone is welcome to talk hunting, and even a little politics that is directly tied to hunting, but no more of the crappy name calling, fighting and hate that took place in that forum.
