Where are the biggest stands of Aspen in Ca

Where can you drive to in Ca and find a large bunch of aspens for taking pictures of them turning color. Thanks

Also highway 4 between Ebbetts Pass and Markleeville.

I don't know where your coming from, but the Warner mts. up out of Likley and also up on Bidwell mt. have alot also.

I'll 2nd both the Warner Mountains, east of Madeline or Likely, and Hope Valley on Hwy 88 south of Tahoe. Both areas have lots of Aspens.
