That's my buddy Yves grabbing for the bear spray on a shed hunting expedition last summer. The grizz just appeared from nowhere and is about 20 yards away in the photo.

He doesn't need his running shoes to outrun me. Figured I may as well take the picture because I was the slowest one in the group. Nope, you don't have to be faster than the bear, only the slowest one in the group.
