One of the saddest things about this whole deal is Democrat’s we’re actually hoping for a recession, just so they could point the finger at Trump. Well they got what they wished for. Now we’ll see how this all plays out. I’m betting we do what this nation has always done. We’ll rise to the challenge, and the Trump Administration will be even stronger Once the dust settles. The American people aren’t blind, many will fact check what is actually going on, and more will surely see how corrupt the Democratic Party has become.

Let us hope but my suspicion is that the case is being made for a permanently expanded government intrusion into our lives. Look at the legacy of the great depression and the government programs still have. Or the war on poverty which we are still waging 55 years later since it was declared.

I don't see what the other argument will be, if only the government can save us from starvation and devastation then what else will it be "asked" to do.

Here is my take.....8 yrs of Obama/Biden/Clinton and I did not publicly hammer them at every plot turn. I treated them with the respect that the position they held. I disagreed with alot of what they did. I never wanted them to fail. If they failed we all paid the price.

Every politician has issues, even the ones in office for the first time. The inherent problem today with all career politicians is they have a sense of entitlement and believe they are the only ones that can do the job.

As for the performance in presidents; Carter was a joke, Reagan did good, Bush Sr. lacked, Clinton was luke-warm (and a liar), Bush Jr. was so-so, Obama was (and is) a complete disgrace, and Trump does have his issues.

The number one underlying issue is there was ample time to get more prepared for this "punch" orchestrated by the media. Tough to take a certain amount of seriousness to this when governors are on a semi-daily basis have been adjusting their state's plan based on news reported on the virus spread...

That is an interesting take. I tend to let his remarks and outbursts slide because ultimately he is doing what I want to be accomplished in the oval office. My wife, who is Mexican by descent, here on a green card, thinks his outbursts are funny and even necessary. She likes straight shooters who call a duck a duck. As far as Coronavirus readiness..Why is it the Federal Govt's responsibility? If the Fed's are to manage crisis's and states need why do we have Governors, and state govt's. Shyt, if it's all up to the fed's to make sure each state implements curfews, dictate how many ventilators, or masks, WTH do we have Governors for? There are 35 plus states that each have there own Certificate of Need (CON) programs in place. This is where the huge failures/gaps in on medical equipment shortfalls reside...not at Bush's or Obama's or Trumps feet. These CON programs start coming into play back in the 60's.. to control health care costs by deciding if spending money on new projects was what the community needs. If your state is in dire need, sure the feds can send money your way but your local and state govt should be handling the crisis. Federalism is our system of govt...like it or not...that's the way the founders intended it to be.
Govt handling of healthcare has been a joke. AND it will continue to be a joke. Regulations (CON programs) provide protectionism and control over the healthcare system all the while your personal needs get put on the back burner and the government gets more and more control over our lives.
As far as Trump/DC is concerned, I think they need to follow the constitution and quit spending money.

The two of you need to understand something that the rest of us adults deal with on a daily basis. You don't always get what you want exactly the way you want it so you have to compromise a little and understand that mature decisions are based on the pros outweighing the cons.
