Will 10 non-ressy points be enough....

to draw a 2nd season 21 deer tag this year? I hope it will be because I applied yesterday. Best of luck to all in the draws!

You will get the tag David and good luck.Next year I plan on hunting 21 so after you get back let me know what you thought of the hunt.

Guess it depends on how many tags are given. My buddy and I sent ours off today. We have 14 points each.

I'm thinking this will be a tough year as many folks are 'going for it' with the late season dates.

We put in for 61 2nd and 70 3rd.

9 NR points here. I know that 7 was good last year. I expect 8 or maybe 9 to be the minimum this year.

GH.

Is a 2nd season tag in 21 really worth waiting 10 years for? I know I don't have the patience to wait 10 years for a 2nd season tag.

I guess it changes things though if you've got multiple points built up for multiple species in multiple states - but still - that's seems like it'd be tough to wait 10 years for a 2nd season tag.

I guess my 7 point are not going to make it this year. A will just wait a couple more years.

WOW!! It looks like the point creep will be more like a point leap in 21 this year. I'm seriously wondering if 10 points will get me into the game.

Just wondering: What did Huntin Fool say about 21 second season?

Huntin Fool says, and I am paraphrasing, Good unit, lots of deer. Tough season dates though can make for tougher hunting.

Do I think GMU #21-2nd season is worth 7, 8 or 9? Hell no!

But it is what it is. I'm sure I'm not ever going to accumulate enough points to get to the 3rd season in 21. I'm saving points for CO elk, WY elk & deer, and IA deer. I only get to go out West every few years so I'm okay with burning 9 on this hunt.

But it's still not worth 9! ;-)
