Wyoming-Sweetwater/Green Mountain Deer herd

Any one have solid info on what the current deer population is like in this area? Trying to decide if it’s worth a try. Been reading some older articles and it looks like there have been some severe winter kills since I was last there. Anything helps. Thanks

Had a pretty hard winter two or three years ago. Since then they have faired pretty well. Population is still down according to G&F and the trophy quality is even lower. Still a few good deer, but they are few and far between.
Pretty much like most of western Wyoming.

Thanks pymulies. Really enjoyed hunting there. Only took one good buck in four seasons but had a great hunt each time. Hopefully the herd will recover. Wyoming sure manages the wildlife better than most in my opinion
