Dang. They’re 4-5” away from that being usable to shoot sitting down. Make each section 1.5” longer and you’d have a winner in my book.

I don’t understand why they don’t simplify their system like Colorado and just give everyone a number, invert the number, then divide that number by the number of genders you think exist.

I think 29 is one of the best units in the country for big antelope. No real trick or honey hole for antelope other then knowing what a big one looks like and more importantly what a big one doesn’t look like.

Harris S25 is what I run on all my guns. Have had a few of the high end ones and they all have compromises. Might be steadier prone but definitely lacking when it comes to shooting off your but. If you look at the specs closely the Harris is as light or real close to any of the $300-500 ones...

I think that 80% of the landowners around my farm don’t know the first thing about the deer regulations. I also tend to like unit 670. One of my favorite places, doesn’t rain enough up there for me to wanna own any farm ground there though.

Is it a requirement of state law to understand deer regulations in order to purchase land in a state?

I think they’re about 20-25 years out on those picks. If I were sitting on low teens right now I’d burn them as fast as I could before the other 5000-10000 guys with similar realize they’re chasing a pipe dream and decide to burn theirs. That’s when things go through the roof.

670 is a general area. Just need a general deer tag and you and everyone else in the entire world can have at it.

One of those is 3x better odds for a sheep and the other is 3x worse odds for a small moose.

I think worse then that is the 1000+ guys who did the same for a sheep tag that had a 0/1000 chance of drawing. The only winner there was the credit card company who landed a cool $100k in fees over that gong show.

I’m all for starlink to keep fires out at work and keep in touch with loved ones but that last sentence is the saddest thing I think I’ve ever read about hunting. The level of narcissism required for that sets a whole new bar.

Get the ATX. It’s not even a comparison to the older ATS and ATM scopes. The X series is the first spotter I’ve ever owned where I consistently find myself zoomed in to max and still have a great picture. My STS used to got to hell above about 40x so it never went above that.
